Whenever biopics are being made, there will be widespread criticism coming from the living family members most of the time. While any story in the public domain and which is 60 years old doesn’t need any legal approval, other stories need consent from the family members. And here’s what happened with Raviteja’s latest film Tiger Nageswara Rao which is based on the life and times of a Stuartpuram dactoit.
Previously when films like Sye Raa were made, family members of Narasimha Reddy went to Court against Megastar Chiranjeevi and producer Ram Charan. Witnessing all of that, it’s coming out that TNR producer Abhishek Agarwal has taken a No-Objection-Certificate from wife and kids of Nageswara Rao to go ahead with this biopic that features Raviteja in the titular role. While the information about Nageswara Rao’s dacoity and jail life is in the official domain, the family members are said to have revealed more inside and personal details about the notorious thief.
It’s coming out that the makers have fictionalized the content to the extent that they will add a commercial touch and cinematic liberties to make the film an engaging watch. Directed by Vamsee, the Raviteja’s TNR also features Nupur Sanon, Renu Desai and Anupam Kher. The film is hitting cinemas on Oct 20th, 2023.
