Annapurna Studios holds a significant place in the history of Tollywood. Established by ANR in 1976, the studio was created to provide filmmakers with the necessary infrastructure and support when the film industry was shifted to Hyderabad from Chennai. Over the decades, it has become a major company with a large workforce under the leadership of Akkineni Nagarjuna, Amala, and Supriya.
In a recent video titled “Annapurna Studio Heroes,” Nagarjuna Akkineni expressed his appreciation for the studio’s employees. He specifically highlighted the dedication and loyalty of a senior employee named Ramachari, who has been working as an accountant at Annapurna Studios for nearly 47 years since the studio’s inception.
Nagarjuna acknowledged Ramachari as the studio’s first employee, emphasizing that he has been an integral part of the Annapurna family for nearly five decades.
Despite being 80 years old, Ramachari remains active and reliable. Nagarjuna humorously mentioned that they could entrust all their money to Ramachari to keep in iron boxes, confident that he would safeguard their assets.
In the same video, Ramachari expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work at Annapurna Studios. He shared that the Akkineni family, especially Nagarjuna, has treated him like a member of their own family. Ramachari reflected on how Nagarjuna helped him build a house and provided support in times of need.
