Ace producer ‘Sravanthi’ Ravikishore is debuting in Tamil cinema with Kida which is being dubbed and released in Telugu as Deepavali on the 11th of November. Now, the director of the film, RA Venkat has a few interesting notes to make about the film.
“Sravanthi Ravikishore sir is a big producer who only works with stars. He readily agreed to do the film after listening to the voice recording of the script and I was shocked so as to why a top producer would do my small script.” the director said.
“This film has its heart in the right place. Regardless of the grandeur of any film, the main thing that connects with the audience is the emotional graph of the story. On that front, Deepavali has right note of emotions. My mother cried after watching this film”.
The director went on to reveal that senior producer Sravanthi Ravikishore gave him full freedom with regard to the making of this film. “Sir even gave me the job of fixating the remunerations of other cast and crew and used to transfer the amount without any further questions. His trust in me fueled me further.”
The director added that the film was sent for international film screenings and it received standing ovation at the International Film Festival of India, Goa and the 20th Chennai International Film Festival where it won Best Film and Best Actor awards.
“My next film could be with a star hero, that is what the thought process is. Ravikishore sir asked me to develop the full script. The decision will be taken once the full script is locked.”
