Kamal Haasan’s “Bharateeyadudu 2” intro song has generated discussions among fans and music lovers. While the visuals have been well received, some feel that Anirudh Ravichander’s tune has a somewhat regular feel. However, a more significant debate is arising among Kamal fans and music lovers regarding the age of Kamal Haasan in the film.
In the first part of “Bharateeyudu,” Senapathi (Kamal Haasan’s character) is portrayed as 70 years old. The first part was released in 1996, and by this calculation, in 2023, Senapati would be a centenarian, leading to questions about whether it’s logical for him to return to India at such an advanced age, engage in anti-corruption activities and avoid being captured by the police.
Many viewers find this scenario illogical. If “Bharatiyadudu 2” were set in the year 2000, it might make more sense. Addressing this issue is crucial to ensure the story’s believability, especially in the eyes of a tech-savvy current generation.
The film’s success may depend on how well it addresses and reconciles these inconsistencies. “Bharatiyadudu 2” is scheduled for release next summer.
Director Shankar awaits a comeback with the film.
