Balagam is regarded as one of the finest rural dramas in the recent times. The Telangana-based rustic family drama captured the essence of the rural households in the state. Now, it appears that there is another new film that falls under this bracket.
The said film is ‘Deepavali’ which is made in Tamil as ‘Kida’ and is being released in Telugu and Tamil on 11th November. The film is funded by veteran Telugu producer ‘Sravanthi’ Ravikishore who is known for his tasteful production ventures.
Going into the story, Dil Raju, who produced Balagam and won appreciation for the film, has now heaped praises on Deepavali after watching a special screening of the film.
Ravikishore is a good friend of Dil Raju and he held a special screening of the film for the latter very recently.
After the screening, Dil Raju spoke with the media and said “Ravikishore garu is a producer with a great taste. He has come up with a genuine and honest attempt with Deepavali. Keeping the viewers engaged for two hours with a story that revolves around a goat, a kid, and a grandfather is a tough task and the makers done a great job at it. Those who like different kind of cinema will love this film”
Dil Raju was evidently impressed with Deepavali and he heaped praises on the film and the team behind it for their genuine attempt with the rural drama. The team is said to be elated with Dil Raju’s encouraging comments.
Deepavali is set for release on the 11th of November and it is being released in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. It is directed by RA Venkat and has Poo Ramu and Kali Venkat in the lead roles. ‘Sravanthi’ Ravikishore is the producer.
