Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s rise to stardom in Tollywood is an inspiration to many. Despite attaining a top slot in the second tier of actors in the current generation, Ravi Teja never shied away from doing experimental subjects as he always encouraged inexperienced directors and introduced new talent to the film industry.
But, the recent box office results of his films turned him extra cautious. After scoring a blockbuster hit with ‘Dhamaka’ last year and winning plaudits for his supporting role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, Ravi Teja tasted back-to-back debacles with Ravanasura and Tiger Nageswara Rao.
The disappointing results of both these films impacted Ravi Teja’s market badly because he was riding on a crest of success wave after the success of Dhamaka and Waltair Veerayya, which reinstated his box office stamina.
Now, the ‘Kick’ actor wants to quickly make amends and revive his success graph with his upcoming films. Close sources to the actor revealed that he now prefers to work with experienced directors instead of taking risks with new or inexperienced directors.
Ravi Teja initially committed to work with new-age directors for his upcoming films. But, he has now changed his mind and decided to keep these projects on the back burner and work with experienced directors like Gopichand Malineni up next.
Post-wrapping up Eagle, which is slated for release in January, Ravi Teja will reunite with Gopichand Malineni for the fourth time after delivering hits with Don Seenu, Balupu and Krack. He aims to complete the project in less than six months.
