Ever since she started her career with ‘Majnu’ in Tollywood, Mallu beauty Anu Emmanuel has been waiting for her next big break. Though she acted with big stars like Pawan Kalyan (Agnyathavasi) and Allu Arjun (Na Peru Surya) in the early stages of her career, somehow the flop show of those films didn’t work out for her. And last Friday, she came with Karthi’s Japan to test her luck.
If Anu had a big role in the movie, a plot-driving character or something else, even the flop would have fallen positively in her kitty. Here in Karthi’s Japan, her role hardly has any importance, though it is weaved into the narrative perfectly. She appears for hardly 10 minutes in the movie, and even the popular ‘Touching Touching’ song was edited out, trimmed to just under 2 minutes, thus doing gross injustice to Anu’s presence. Those who have seen the film are saying nothing but ‘Ayyo Paapam Anu Emmanuel’.
On the other hand, when Anu Emmanuel scored a decent hit with Allu Sirish’s Urvasivo Rakshasivo in recent times, many thought that she got the needed break. Despite her readiness to do ultra-glam roles, lip locks and go quite bold for a role, somehow she’s yet to get the big part of the pie.
