The makers of ‘Mangalavaaram’ have been emphasizing the mystery aspect of their movie. Director Ajay Bhupathi of ‘RX 100’ fame, without revealing any plot points, has managed to create terrific interest with the trailer.
Ahead of the release of the film on November 17 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages, producer Swathi Reddy Gunupati of Mudhra Media Works has interacted with the media. She spoke about Bhupathi carrying out 40 to 50 auditions before going back to Payal Rajput. “In the course of the selection process, Payal’s name was brought up for consideration. However, we harbored reservations about her suitability initially. After conducting a look test, it became evident that she was a perfect fit. She has demonstrated exceptional dedication and hard work,” the producer, who is the daughter of Nimmagadda Prasad, says.
Asked about ‘Mangalavaaram’ already bringing them profits (distributors have bought the movie across territories), she says, “Isn’t this joyous news for everyone? Our maiden endeavor has garnered overwhelming support from all quarters, and we are relishing this moment.”
Quizzed about the high budget, she adds, “The director’s vision appeared achievable only with the allocation of a substantial budget. This is no ordinary film; it stands apart from the routine.”
The film could have early premieres to satisfy the demand from the audience.
