A runaway hit in Kannada, the slow poison like “Sapta Saagaralu Daati, Side-A”, hasn’t done any magic at the Telugu box office for its lagging screenplay and routine moments. However, the makers haven’t stopped releasing Side-B, the second part of the film, other day, despite the first one getting poor reception. And here’s an interesting talk about it.
Well, unlike the first half, the second part of the film, Sapta Saagaraalu Daati Side-B is a bit speedy and catchy, unlike the first one. While the trailer of the film promised to showcase a violent film in shades of red, the content is not that action-packed but focuses on hero Rakshith Shetty helping his ex-lover, played by Rukmini Vasanth, to realise her dreams after she gives up singing post getting married.
At the same time, the second heroine, played by Chaitra Achar, is a revelation as she pulls off the role of a prostitute with aplomb. But the end shocker of the film is something Telugu audiences are not used to, while it has become a routine these days in many movies.
With Hero’s sole target to settle down the lives of the two heroines is interesting, the film is still disjointed and lots of liberties don’t actually click well. However, Side-B is better than Side-A, but then we have to see if the weekend will help the movie get attention at the box office or not.
