Lokesh Kanagaraj supports Trisha; Slams Mansoor

Published by

Trisha has issued a strong statement on social media in response to derogatory remarks made by her Leo co-star, Mansoor Ali Khan. Khan had expressed disappointment about not sharing screen space with Trisha in a recent interview, making inappropriate comments about expecting a bedroom scene with her.

In her statement, Trisha condemns Khan’s comments, describing them as vile, disgusting, sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive, and in bad taste. She expresses gratitude for not having worked with someone she deems as “pathetic” and vows to ensure that such an association never happens in her future film career. Trisha concludes by stating that individuals like Khan bring a bad name to mankind.

Trisha wrote, “A recent video has come to my notice where Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile and disgusting manner. I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste. He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind.”

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj who is extremely close with Mansoor also reacted to this controversy. Taking to Twitter, Lokesh extended his support to Trisha.

“Disheartened and enraged to hear the misogynistic comments made by Mr.Mansoor Ali Khan, given that we all worked in the same team. Respect for women, fellow artists and professionals should be a non-negotiable in any industry and I absolutely condemn this behaviour,” tweeted Lokesh.

Lokesh is the director of Leo and he initially penned the script of ‘Kaithi’ for Mansoor.
