Mansoor Ali Khan, who recently appeared in the film ‘Leo,’ has been at the center of controversy due to objectionable comments he made about his co-star Trisha Krishnan during an interview. He is criticized by many celebrities in Tamil Nadu, including actress Khushboo Sundar, director Lokesh Kanakaraj, Karthik Subbaraj and singer Chinmayi Sripada.
In response to the backlash, Mansoor Ali Khan took to social media to address the controversy and express his dissatisfaction with the misrepresentation of his words. He clarified that his intention was to praise Trisha Krishnan’s role in ‘Leo,’ comparing it to the significance of Hanuman lifting a mountain. He claimed that certain statements were edited and taken out of context, leading to the controversy.
In a media conference, Mansoor Ali Khan stated, “Actress Trisha Krishnan’s role in ‘Leo’ was compared to ‘Hanuman who lifted the mountain.’ Her role in the movie is very important. I complimented her.”
He expressed his respect for Trisha and lamented the viral spread of the edited comments, emphasizing that he did not intend to create any controversy or disrespect anyone.
Addressing the situation in Tamil, Mansoor Ali Khan conveyed, “They are misunderstanding my words. They are playing politics against me by misrepresenting me. This is being done to influence the progress of my films. I have great respect for women. I have worked with many actresses in the past. I have never been rude to anyone.”
“As a human being I have done so much for the people, and will be continuing to do so. My personality needn’t be questioned. This has been nothing but a defamation against me. My Tamil people know how much I’ve stood for mankind. Everybody knows me who I am, what I am!” he wrote.
His original comments, where he mentioned his disappointment about the absence of a particular scene with Trisha and made reference to past roles involving rape scenes, had triggered strong condemnation from various quarters.
