The filming for the Bollywood film “Stree 2” finally kicked off in July this year in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh, echoing the atmospheric setting of its predecessor in the horror-comedy franchise. Now, the latest addition to the film’s cast is Milky beauty, Tamannaah Bhatia.
The original “Stree,” released in 2018, not only garnered widespread critical acclaim but also achieved significant commercial success at the box office. Nora Fatehi’s captivating performance in “Kamariya” also left a lasting impression on audiences.
While not a substantial role, Tamannaah Bhatia will grace the screen with her presence in a lively dance number, reminiscent of the infectious energy of “Kamariya.” The shoot for this vibrant sequence has already been completed.
Tamannaah recently showcased her prowess in the hit song “Kaavalayya” from Rajinikanth’s “Jailer,” causing a sensation on social media. The makers of “Stree 2” recognized Tamannaah’s suitability for the song, and she will be joined by Rajkummar Rao in the sequence, marking their first on-screen collaboration.
Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, “Stree 2” is an integral part of the horror-comedy universe. The highly anticipated film is slated for a theatrical release on August 30, 2024.
The ensemble cast, featuring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee, is all set to entertain us again.
