Already there is a huge buzz around the kind of films happening beauty Sreeleela has signed after watching movies like Skandha, Aadikeshava and even Extra as well. While the discussion about her role choices is one thing, another major complaint popping up regarding the actress is her dubbing.
Usually, if a heroine’s voice is full of proper Telugu pronunciation, diction and clarity in uttering words, it sounds pretty well. That is the reason why production houses pay huge to rope in voice artists like Chinmayi Sripada or some other RJs to dub for the voice of the heroine. In the case of Sreeleela, with the actress being a Telugu native, directors and producers are going ahead with her voice only. However, that is not working out well, and in both Aadikeshava as well as Extra, this is evident. Her dubbing is scented with American accents all over as Sreeleela grew up in California for some time and studied there. This slang is a party spoiler in many scenes, especially in the romantic track.
Either Sreeleela should actually work out on the diction and slang, which is actually quite flat with the westernised pronunciation of some Telugu words, or she should opt for a professional dubbing artist to do the job. Otherwise, her voice is playing a spoilsport.
