As the festival of Sankranti approaches, Tollywood is gearing up for a fierce battle at the box office. However, one name looms large over the competition, making the task for other films seem daunting – Mahesh Babu. With his much-anticipated movie Guntur Kaaram, Mahesh Babu has set a high bar, leaving other filmmakers scrambling to secure a spot in the Sankranti race.
Mahesh Babu, often called the ‘Prince of Tollywood,’ has consistently delivered box-office hits with his charismatic performances and compelling story choices. The mere announcement of his presence in the Sankranti lineup has sent ripples through the industry, making it clear that the competition will get intense. Adding director Trivikram Srinivas to the project has raised audiences’ curiosity to the next level.
Despite the formidable challenge posed by Mahesh Babu’s movie, several films are vying for attention in the Sankranti race. The word in the industry is that the buyers are showing less interest in taking up other films against Guntur Kaaram. Although some buyers seem interested, the prices being offered are very less, which is a concern for many producers.
“HanuMan,” an eagerly awaited project, is one such contender. The movie’s team is gearing up to showcase Teja Sajja as a commercial actor in the film industry.
Ravi Teja’s “Eagle” is another film set to join the Sankranti competition. Known for his high-energy performances, Ravi Teja is expected to bring his trademark style to the screen, providing audiences with a different cinematic experience.
Nagarjuna’s “Naa Sami Ranga” adds to the star-studded lineup. With Nagarjuna’s star power and the promise of an engaging narrative, the film aims to carve its niche in the Sankranti festivities.
A couple of other films are also lined up for a grand release during Sankranthi but all of them may not bear the spice of ‘Guntur Kaaram’. While the competition was already fierce, the impending release of Guntur Kaaram has added a new layer of complexity.
