After the blockbuster success of “Uppena,” Kriti Shetty was initially perceived to be on an unstoppable trajectory. However, the tide took an unexpected turn. Despite being the preferred choice for many medium-range heroes, she is witnessing a downturn in her market value. However, she is focusing on Kollywood now, and this strategy seems to work.
In Telugu, her collaboration with Sharwanand, directed by Sriram Aditya, faced delays. However, Kriti found solace in promising opportunities in other languages. Despite some of the heroines in her league failing to grab opportunities, she managed to attract filmmakers in Kollywood.
Kriti has secured roles in Tamil films opposite stars like Karthi for Va Wathiare, Jayam Ravi’s next, and Love Today hero Pradeep Ranganathan’s LIC. Additionally, she embarked on projects in Malayalam, sharing the screen with Tovino Thomas in “Randam Moshanam,” all slated for release next year.
The success of her upcoming film with Sharwanand holds the key to her potential resurgence in the Telugu industry. Although there was initial disappointment regarding a canceled project opposite Suriya, she now finds herself starring alongside his brother Karthi. Based on the film’s success, she may grab a film with Suriya soon.
Tollywood witnessed the charm of Kriti, and it’s time for the Kollywood audiences to experience the same.
