After the super success of the Baahubali series, Prabhas became this pan-India superstar and that led to changes in the dynamics of his films, including the budgets, marketing and casting as well. However, his latest film Salaar is something unique when it comes to this casting part, and that’s why it is creating more appeal in fact.
For example, if we watch films like KGF, there is always that feeling of watching a dubbed film because you don’t know the cast well. However, as Prabhas’ game changed after Baahubali, sadly his previous films like Saaho and Adipurush also gave us a similar feeling, while Radhe Shyam is better to an extent. But now, in Salaar, director Prashanth Neel made sure to cast a lot of familiar actors like Jagapati Babu, Saptagiri and Brahmaji even for short roles. That created a localised feeling for the film, though we have cast from other tinsel towns as well.
On the other hand, the re-entry of Shriya Reddy through a powerful role, the presence of Prithviraj Sukumaran in a very intriguing and striking second lead role, has added more vibe to Salaar for sure. On top of everything, the good thing about Salaar is simply Prabhas!
