King Nagarjuna is getting ready to give another Sankranthi treat in the lines of a Soggade Chinni Nayana and Bangarraju, as he is coming up with the movie ‘Naa Saami Ranga’, which is releasing in the second week of 2024. And here is an interesting snippet coming up about this movie.
Usually, big-ticket movies take a lot of time these days to finish. Many other films that are in the Sankranthi pipeline started their shoot almost a year ago, and some even took two years to complete. However, his latest movie “Naa Saami Ranga”, which is loosely based on the Malayalam film Porinju Mariyam Jose, started to shoot just in the recent September, but heading for a finish line now. By December 29th, we hear that the total shoot of the film gets wrapped, and it is literally 4 months for the movie in the production pipeline. That’s the fastest ever for Nagarjuna, with his second fastest being Bangarraju movie now.
Of course, taking longer times might get linked to quality, but for the kind of commercial movies that Tollywood is carving right now, taking a couple of years is turning out to be a nightmare, as those films are ending up as cost failures.
