While senior heroes like Chiru, Balayya, Venky and Nagarjuna are still good to go, their other contemporaries like Srikanth and Jagapathi Babu turned to negative roles. And few heroes like Rajasekhar are yet to decided what they want to do as they want to bet on their ‘heroism’ still.
These days, picking up the right content ensures success but banking on heroism, fights, elevation shots and item numbers won’t work out. Perhaps that is the reason why Rajasekhar’s films before and after PSV Garudavega didn’t work out. However, the senior hero has now picked up another struggling senior director Neelakanta for his next, giving a shocker to all.
Rajasekhar is said to have heard and travelled with some young directors for a couple of projects but he has failed to get confidence on them to take-off those films to sets. However, he is okay with Neelakanta’s new film though the director’s work on Queen’s Telugu remake (Neelakanta did 80% of the movie) isn’t impressive if the songs and trailer are anything to go by.
Maybe Rajasekhar should have thought a lot before okaying Neelakanta, but picking up subjects from youngsters would have worked a lot for him. For now, this appears like a wrong move, but we couldn’t predict the film’s result for sure.
