Well, the team of Kalyan Ram’s latest release “Devil” has already celebrated the movie’s success too. Going by the latest posters and the film’s title sequence as well as the end card, the film is produced and directed by Abhishek Nama only. However, an interesting talk is going on regarding the same in film industry circles.
A couple of days before the release, Naveen Medaram the original director of the movie as per the initial posters of Devil, issued a note saying that he shot the film for 105 days while re-shoots and patchwork were taken care of by someone else. However, Abhishek Nama claimed that he had directed the whole movie, barring the first 2 days of shoot.
Talk is popping up in industry circles that writer Srikanth Vissa and cinematographer Sounder Rajan have actually shot most of the movie, but asked Abhishek Nama to take the credit because they don’t want to take the blame for grabbing the direction mantle from Naveen Medaram. However, some feel that Naveen has wrapped most of the work, but writer Srikanth Vissa directed the balance scenes and patchwork of the film.
While the film’s content is just average, one wonders who would get the actual credit for creating this British Secret Service agent, Devil.
