She Will Be The Next Big Thing In Tollywood

Joining the Sankranthi race is none other than Akkineni Nagarjuna’s latest mass film “Naa Saami Ranga” which is coming up on January 14th, actually has three heroines playing the female leads. However, unlike other Sankranthi films of Nag where he used to romance 2-3 leading ladies, this time he has only one heroine, while the other two are playing opposite Naresh and Raj Tarun. And here is a comment about the main lead by director Vijay Binny.

When quizzed by Gulte.com about why he has roped in only a single heroine, Kannada beauty Ashika Ranganath, for Nagarjuna unlike his other festival films, Vijay says, “I want to break that mould of 2-3 heroines for the leading man, and hence created only one romantic role to play opposite Nag sir. But mark my words, Ashika is going to be the next big thing in Tollywood. She will get super busy after Naa Saami Ranga’s release”. Well, many audience also became fans of Ashika after watching the glimpse-video of the movie earlier, and everyone is wondering if these words of the director will come true or not. 

Among all the leading ladies of Sankranthi movies, Ashika is the only siren who has just one film in Tollywood along with Amritha Aiyer of Hanu Man, while the likes of Sreeleela, Shraddha Srinath, Andrea, Ruhani have done many straight films and some are popular through their dubbed movies as well.
