BRS is retrospecting the reasons behind their shattering defeat in the 2023 elections and KTR has pointed his finger towards one major mistake that he believes has resulted in BRS’s defeat.
KTR stated that BRS had the need to change the sitting MLA candidates to counter the anti-incumbency and not doing so has cost them heavily in many seats. KTR regretted not taking the necessary measures to overcome the anti-incumbency.
This is the first time he has spoken in this tone after reports recently emerged that he advised KCR to change 40 sitting MLAs but the BRS boss was ignorant which eventually led to his downfall.
KTR said BRS will not repeat this mistake in the 2024 MP elections and confirmed that only worthy candidates will be given parliamentary tickets.
