The film HanuMan, initially labeled as another small-budgeted flick, is transformed into a film enjoying big demand. Despite the release of Guntur Kaaram and Saindhav at theatres, the craze for HanuMan is not coming down but only going up. The situation won’t be any different tomorrow, with the addition of Na Saami Ranga at the box office. Surprisingly, this has led to a sudden surge in demand for HanuMan tickets, but the reality is that the tickets are unavailable.
Securing two or three tickets in the same theatre has become challenging in Hyderabad. On Book My Show, HanuMan tickets are selling at an impressive rate of 25,000 per hour on average, highlighting its demand. In contrast, Guntur Karam is struggling to reach even 10,000 ticket sales.
As of January 16, finding tickets for HanuMan in any main center seems unlikely. Even with increased screens in Andhra Pradesh, the demand continues to rise. Reports indicate that Hanuman’s first-day global gross has touched around 22 crores, including premiere shows.
Considering the fierce competition, one can only wonder how much higher this number could have been if the film had a solo release. The team is ecstatic about the initial success. Despite potential challenges in the first week regarding theater availability, the team is optimistic about increased screen count in the second week.
Bollywood analysts are projecting that the Hindi version will earn over two crores in the North on the release day. The official numbers will be out soon.
