Tollywood witnessed a big box office clash during Sankranthi with four films fighting for the winner status. Now, for the upcoming Republic Day weekend, we have a solo fight of dubbing films on one another and this is the first dubbing clash of the year.
Dhanush’s “Captain Miller” is set to hit screens on January 25, followed by Sivakarthikeyan’s “Ayalaan” on January 26, creating a one-day gap between the two releases.
Interestingly, Hrithik Roshan’s “Fighter” has unexpectedly secured a wide release in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Given the anticipated slowdown in festival films, this might benefit those uninterested in Dhanush and Siva Karthikeyan. It’s been long since Hrithik’s dubbing film received a good response at theatres.
Both the Tamil releases have already been in theatres in Tamilnadu. “Captain Miller” received a blockbuster talk, and “Ayalaan” impressed some sections of audiences. Hence, we have to see if these films would cater to the tastes of Telugu audiences.
If nothing works out, we already have the Sankranthi releases for the rescue.
Initially, Ram Gopal Varma’s “Vyooham” was slated for release according to earlier plans, but legal obstacles have put a hold on the film’s arrival at theatres is schedule.
