The much-anticipated sequel to the 2019 film “Yatra,” titled “Yatra 2,” is gearing up for a grand release this month. Interestingly, the trailer has come out today, and it is well-packed with elements that would grab the attention of those who keenly follow cinema and politics.
The film’s sequel will depict the real-life incidents surrounding the late former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Directed by Mahi V Raghav, the film features Mammootty playing YSR’s role and Jiiva playing YS Jagan’s.
The trailer vividly depicts the turbulence in Andhra Pradesh politics following the demise of YS Rajasekhar Reddy. It captures pivotal moments, such as Jagan’s decision to leave the Congress party and embark on a journey to establish a new political party.
The trailer’s highlight revolves around a compelling dialogue by Jiiva at the end, where he tells a supporter, “Nenu Vinnanu.. Nenu Unnanu,” which is the trademark dialogue of YSR.
The film also features Sachin Khedkar, Mahesh Manjrekar, Subhalekha Sudhakar, and others in crucial roles.
