Vishwak Sen’s highly anticipated film, ‘Gangs of Godavari,’ initially slated for a December release, was later rescheduled to hit theaters on March 8. As per the latest developments in the film industry, Vishwak’s other film, Gami, will now occupy the March 8 release slot instead of GOG.
The decision to postpone the release of ‘Gangs of Godavari’ was influenced by several factors, including the unfortunate passing of Yuvan Shankar Raja’s sister, Bhavatharini. Yuvan wants to take some time and not hurry to re-record. Chaitanya Krishna is the film’s director and it is produced by Sitara Entertainments.
The absence of Yuvan has affected the post-production process, particularly re-recording, requiring more time than initially anticipated. Vishwak was particular about bringing his presence to theatres at any cost. Hence, he scheduled Gami for a release.
‘Gami’, directed by Vidyadhar, is the first film to shoot at a real Kumbh Mela, capturing breathtaking scenes in challenging locations like the Himalayas and Kashi. Chandini Chowdary plays the female lead.
Despite the unexpected change, Vishwak Sen remains confident in the success of ‘Gami.’
