Legendary writer Paruchuri Gopalakrishna of Paruchuri Brothers, who is known for his in-depth analysis of films that are released, has once again come up with a pretty interesting video, giving a bang-on review of what went wrong inside “Guntur Kaaram”.
“When you are dealing with a film that has mother-son sentiment, a title like ‘Guntur Vaari Abbayi’ would have done justice to it, rather than ‘Guntur Kaaram’. As you named it Kaaram, you tried to sprinkle some spice all over, but for a hero of Mahesh Babu’s range, this story is not sufficient. To be very honest, this is not his range of movies” says Gopala Krishna, adding that he has high regard for Mahesh Babu, but never expected him to deliver a product like this. The legendary writer also added that a small idea like taking a signature from a son such that his mother would become a minister, should be dealt with a lot of sentiment.
“Inside the film, everyone is just cheating without any positive intent to get a signature, including the mother, heroine and others, but there is no arc to these characters like they have changed from bad to good, which is a show spoiler” he further said. Paruchuri also gave the last punch, saying, the combination of Trivikram-Mahesh will spin money but not satisfaction.
