Jr. Ntr’s Devara locked the release date of October 10 this year for the arrival of its first part. While the ambiguity about Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rule release date still exists, it is heard that Devara makers are also contemplating releasing Devara on August 15 if all Pushpa does not arrive by that date.
Amid this, there have been theories about the odds NTR has to go against for Devara success. Looking back at the sentiments, NTR has to break three curses. To start with, there is this ‘Post-SSR movie Syndrome’ that usually gives a flop to any hero after acting in a Rajamouli movie. Devara is NTR’s very next film after his RRR with Rajamouli.
Secondly, Devara has the father-son roles, both reportedly played by NTR. This attempt to appear as both father and son has not yielded great results for NTR earlier. Andhrawala and Shakti are those movies.
And lastly, Dussehra has not been a super successful season for NTR. Though a few of his previous movies opened big they failed to capitalize on the start.
On a positive note, the director Koratala Siva had a big embarrassment in the name of Acharya and is heard to be determined to deliver a perfect answer with ‘Devara’. Also, NTR looked extremely powerful in the glimpse of Devara. Needless to say, Devara is launching the sensational Janhvi Kapoor in Telugu. It has to be seen if NTR breaks all the curses to bag an earth-shattering blockbuster with Devara.
