Mega hero Varun Tej is coming up with the film “Operation Valentine” on March 1st, which missed the date twice earlier. While the trailer is set for a release tomorrow, already the likes of Gulte.com got early access to it, and the emotional drive in the trailer was highly praised.
However, the film is based on the Pulawama attack and the retaliation of the Indian Air Force regarding the same. Wait, is it ringing some other bell? Yes, the recently released “Fighter” which featured Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone is also based on the same incident, but then, the film failed to create an emotional engagement for the viewer. Now that the film is still in theatres, and with Operation Valentine eyeing a release 10 days later, will there not be any risk?
Speaking with Gulte.com, Varun says, “We know that the content of Fighter is the same as that of Operation Valentine when we are mid-way through the shooting. But then, I can’t comment about the lack of emotional quotient in Fighter, as I’ve not seen the film, but then I noticed its giant collections. I’m hopeful that the emotional drive in Operation Valentine will click big time, and the film will succeed”.
Even after knowing that another film was being made by a couple of the biggest stars with a story based on the same incident, Varun Tej still went ahead with the project because he signed it, and believed it, and that made him class apart.
