C Space – OTT Platform By Kerala Government

Published by

OTT Platform is a perfect business idea for all those who keenly follow the film and entertainment business. A lot of big players are already dominating the market with their unique strategies, and some of the governments in India have also realized the potential of setting up an OTT platform.

Already the government of Andhra Pradesh has attempted something similar in recent times, but their small-scale OTT platform did not receive a positive response from the audiences. A lot of people still do not know that the platform exists. However, the government of Kerala is now taking big steps in floating their own OTT platform.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan launched a new OTT platform run by their government. Named C Space, the Kerala Film Development Corporation will run the platform. A three-member committee has already been formed to close the deals with the movies and take care of the other operations.

Already, the OTT has been launched with 35 films, 6 documentaries, and a short film. The platform offers a pay-per-view model to stakeholders. The audiences will have to pay 75 rupees to watch a film. Half of this will be going to content provider and the other half will be with the government.
