In December 2017, south superstar Rajiniknath has announced his political entry and stated that he would float a party and contest the 2021 Assembly elections. Rajini went to an extent that his party would resign if it was unable to fulfill its electoral promises within three years of coming into power.
Now with just eight months away from the Assembly polls, Rajinikanth planned to begin his political work in December this year. Unfortunately Rajini’s plans were hit by Covid-19. Initially Rajini wanted to wrap up the shooting of his upcoming movie ‘Annaatthe’ and then focus on politics.
But ‘Annaatthe’ shoot kept delaying and so this has forced Rajini to delay his political plans. As per the reliable sources, Rajini wants to commence the political works in February next year.
But even before the assembly elections, Rajini had an opportunity to know his capabilities with the Lok Sabha polls. But Rajini wasn’t much interested in the Parliament polls and so skipped the contest.
On the other hand, there are also reports that Rajini and Kamal Haasan might join hands for the Assembly elections. But both Rajini and Kamal never talked about politics to each other.
Meanwhile the ruling AIADMK and DMK have begun their political campaign. AIADMK even announced their CM candidate while MK Stalin led DMK is drawing strategies to win the elections at any cost.
