Manchu Vishnu is currently working on his dream project, titled Kannappa. The film is a mythological drama that has got a lot of interesting elements. The team planned it as a visual treat for fans and audiences. Mukesh Kumar Singh is the director and there is a latest scoop on Prabhas’ character.
Initially, it has been decided that Prabhas will be playing the role of Lord Siva while Nayanthara will play the role of goddess Parvathi. But, there seems to be a change in plan. Team Prabhas reportedly requested Kannappa makers to offer a different role for the actor.
With Prabhas playing a role similar to that of Sri Maha Vishnu, in sci-fi drama Kalki, the team wanted the actor to have a change. Hence, it has been decided that Prabhas will essay the role of Nandeeswarudu while Akshay Kumar will portray the role of Lord Siva.
Akshay excelled the role in OMG 2 and with Kannappa having a pan-India release, it will suit the narrative. Prabhas is expected to join the film’s shoot after wrapping up Kalki. Post that, Prabhas will join Raja Saab.
Kannappa is expected to have a release next year and there is no truth in the speculation that the film will have a sequel.
