The political sphere was electrified with cine-glamour taking centre stage throughout India as General elections were happening. Other day Bollywood beauty Neha Sharma took centre stage in a grand roadshow in Bihar as she campaigned for her father, Congress stalwart Ajit Sharma, vying for the Bhagalpur Lok Sabha seat.
Popular for her debut with Ram Charan’s “Chirutha” in Telugu and renowned for her roles in “Crook” and “Tum Bin 2,” Neha Sharma’s foray into politics sparked speculation about her electoral ambitions. However, it was clarified that her role was solely to boost her father’s campaign. The extensive roadshow, whose videos are shared on Neha Sharma’s Instagram, traversed Bihar’s districts like Banka, Kishanganj, Katihar, and Purnia. Dressed in traditional attire, Neha resonated with locals, urging them to exercise their voting rights. Her road shows were blockbusters, unlike her films, if we have to say.
The fervour surrounding Neha Sharma peaked during stops in Pirpainti and Kahalgaon, where she was welcomed by enthusiastic crowds. Expressing gratitude, Neha said, “When someone gives you a place in their heart, you live there forever.” As the elections for the Bhagalpur Lok Sabha seat on April 26 approaches, Ajit Sharma’s Congress candidacy faces stiff competition from JDU’s Ajay Kumar Mandal.
