Cost Revelations Are Not Exciting Telugu Audience

Gone are the days when audiences used to rush to theatres when the makers announced that they had shot a particular film in a foreign location. The digital age has brought the world closer and only the well-narrated content is working for films but not the budgets they spend or the visuals they show. Here comes an interesting scenario now.

In recent times, some filmmakers have once again started promoting that they have spent crores on a particular sequence, shot a song at some breathtaking locations and spent nearly 30+ days shooting a particular scene. But all of that does not work out in the theatres if the overall content of the film, the story, the plot point and the narrative fail to click. Simply put, audiences are not even getting excited about such revelations these days. There are two reasons behind this.

Back then, when a film was shot abroad, or it spent crores to make a sequence, people used to have an urge to watch it. But now, they are watching films and scenes that are way better than these on some OTT platforms. Only a new idea is kicking them, but not the revelations about the efforts and budgets behind that scene or film.

At the same time, most of the films where filmmakers claim that they have spent crores on a particular sequence, are failing to live up to the hype. So it’s not better to create such unwanted hype at this moment. Who is worried or excited about KGF and Ponniyan Selvan’s budget or technical brilliance? The films that have the best engaging narrative clicked and others didn’t
