Though ace director Sukumar in his 20+ minutes speech at ’20 years of Arya’ forgot to talk about heroine Anuradha Mehta, hero Allu Arjun thanked her for being part of the film. At the same time, Bunny mentioned, “I’ve never met Anu after Arya, but I hope she’s doing great”, and that triggered a kind of shocker to all those ‘Geetha’ fans out there.
Arya and Geetha are two unforgettable characters, and despite her acting inconsistency, Kannada beauty Anuradha Mehta won applause. She later appeared in a couple of Telugu films, spiced up with glamour dose, and acted in a couple of Kannada movies as well, before vanishing from the circuit forever. There are many times when a few heroines glitter in one or two films and leave the film industry forever. Similarly, it looks like even Anu took the same route.
The likes of Geethanjali movie’s Girija Shettar, Manmadhudu’s Anshu Ambani, Mirapakaya’s Deeksha Seth and Leader’s Richa Gangopadhyay are a few examples, but then, most of them either gave interviews later on, some are trying for a comeback, and some are existing on social media saying that they have quit films for the good. But what happened to Anu Mehta is the million rupee question. Hope she makes some kind of contact with the fans of Arya!
