The makers of the highly anticipated film, Superstar Prabhas’ ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ are sparing no expense in promoting their star-studded venture. With a budget estimated to be around ₹600 crores for production, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is among the most expensive Indian films to date, surpassing the production costs of other blockbuster movies like ‘Salaar: Part 1’ and the ‘Bahubali’ franchise. And here comes the promotions part now.
In a strategic move to maximize exposure, the producers invested nearly ₹3 crores for a 12-second advertisement during an IPL match recently, reaching a vast audience of 6 to 10 crores viewers. This high-profile promotional campaign showcases the producer’s intention to create widespread buzz and anticipation around the film. Additionally, the upcoming audio function at Ramoji Film City, with a specially constructed set, further adds to the extensive promotional efforts surrounding ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Rumours have that they might invest ₹40-60 crores on the promotions of this project.
Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani and an ensemble cast of renowned actors are set to bring this sci-fi extravaganza to life. Kalki hits cinemas on June 27, 2024.
