Decoding Maname: Why Is Original Movie Better?

The Telugu film “Maname” starring Sharwanand is a freemake of the Hollywood movie “Life As We Know It”, and watching the trailers of these two films proves it. However, this unofficial remake or the inspired movie failed to capture the essence of the original, lacking the emotional depth and human touch that made the original so impactful.

The original film “Life As We Know It” tells the story of two people who are forced to raise each other’s children after a plane crash. The movie explores themes of love, loss, and the importance of human connection. The film’s emotional arc is built around the characters’ journey as they navigate their new roles and learn to care for each other.

However, Sharwanand’s “Maname” failed to recreate this emotional arc, resulting in a lack of emotional depth and human touch. The film’s storyline was altered in the name of Telugu nativity, and the characters were not developed as well as they were in the original. This led to lack of any connect between the characters and the audience.

Though some liked the film and some didn’t, the film isn’t minting huge numbers at the box office as well, because of this missing emotional connect. So many times, Tollywood kills the soul of the original film with their bad remaking skills. Looks like director Sriram Aditya did the same now.
