After releasing the promo of the song on Eid, the makers of Lucky Baskhar unveiled the first single of their film Srimathi garu on Wednesday. The song is a melodious yet playful romantic composition, with its lyrics describing a man lovingly asking his wife for forgiveness.
The song is picturised on Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary. The actors play a down-to-earth, middle class couple with a kid in the film. We also get to see glimpses of their courtship before marriage.
Vishal Mishra, the popular voice behind Jailer’s Rathamaarey last year, has crooned the male vocals of the song while Shweta Mohan pitches in for the female vocals in the charanam. The soulful lyrics of Srimathi garu are written by Shreemani while GV Prakash has composed the song.
Lucky Baskhar is written and directed by Venky Atluri. GV Prakash has also worked with Venky in the latter’s previous film Sir (Vaathi in Tamil). Srimathi garu, interestingly, gives the heartwarming vibes of Mastaru Mastaru from Sir. Srimathi garu definitely has the potential to top the playlists before and after the film has released.
Lucky Baskhar is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and S Sai Soujanya under the Sithara Entertainments & Fortune Four Cinemas banner. The film, set in 80s Bombay, is a story of a middle class man becoming rich by conning his way through financial institutions. The makers have left no stone unturned to make this film a memorable experience for the audience. The makers of the film have locked September 27 as the release date for Lucky Baskhar.
