Opinion: Like Prabhas, Others Need To Speed Up

On one side, we are witnessing promotional events of Kalki 2898 AD and other side, the Superstar is getting ready for a photoshoot with director Hanu Raghavapudi. Then we have Sandeep Reddy Vanga readying Spirit take-off by December. That’s the jet speed at which Prabhas is working right now. So, what are other big stars of Tollywood doing?

Forget about Mahesh Babu as he signed SS Rajamouli’s movie and he might not be available for the next couple of years. Ram Charan has been hanging around with Game Changer for a long time though he started shooting that film during the shoot of RRR itself. And his #RC16 with Buchi Babu will take off after wrapping this Shankar directorial. But this speed is not enough from Charan, as he might be delivering only 1 film in 2 years if he does like this.

Cut to Jr NTR, he is close to wrapping Devara, and after that he has Prashanth Neel’s movie lined up, but there is no clarity over the shooting dates. While Devara will be released in 2024, we may or may not see Jr NTR’s next release in 2025 with the KGF director carving it out.

While Allu Arjun’s last release is in 2021, his Pushpa 2 will release later this year. And then, he has no other film locked in the pipeline with the likes of Boyapati and Atlee moving out, while Trivikram didn’t give any clarity. If he picks one now, surely it will take till 2026 to release.

Looks like all these big stars are failing in terms of planning due to various external factors, and that is really upsetting their fans. Will they speed up at least now is the question.
