Mumbai court has directed police to file an FIR against actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel for allegedly spreading hate amongst communities. Bandra Magistrate court opined that Kangana and Rangoli have tried to instigate communal disharmony through tweets and intereviews to various media. He opined that a thorough investigation by an expert is necessary in the case. The magistrate directed the concerned police station to file FIR on the duo.
Responding to the complaint filed by one Munawwar Ali Sayyed, the magistrate made the above observations in his order. “On prima facie perusal of complaint and submissions… I found the cognizable offence has been committed by the accused,” metropolitan magistrate Jaydeo Khule said in his order.
The complainant alleged that Kangana and Rangoli tried to outrage religious feelings and instigate religious disharmony and done offence under sections 153A, 295A, 124 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The complainant, who is also from Bollywood and works as a casting director, fitness trainer, in his complaint said Kangana was creating fights between artists of different religions. The complainant highlighted Kangana’s tweets and comments on interviews. Kangana referring to Mumbai as POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) is pointed out by Munawwar Ali Sayyed in his complaint.
