Recent reports suggest that Dubai-based YouTuber from Saudi Arabia, Khalid Al Ameri, has gotten engaged to Tamil actress, heroine Sunaina, who has acted in a couple of Telugu movies too. The news has created a buzz on social media, with both Sunaina and Khalid sharing photos of their “engagement” on their respective Instagram accounts.
On June 5, Sunaina posted a photo of two hands holding each other with a lock emoji, hinting at an engagement. While she did not reveal her fiance’s identity at the time, the post was liked by Khalid Al Ameri. On June 26, Khalid shared a similar photo of the couple holding hands, with a diamond ring visible on the woman’s finger, confirming their engagement.
Interestingly, Khalid’s former wife, Salama Mohamed, recently revealed on a YouTube channel that she and Khalid had finalized their divorce on February 14, 2024. Khalid, a Stanford graduate, and Salama were once a popular influencer couple in the Middle East, with millions of followers on their individual social media profiles. Whether this is a publicity stunt or they are really getting married is something we have to see.
Sunaina, who hails from Hyderabad, has worked mainly in Tamil films from 2008, while making her Telugu debut in 2005. She acted in films like 10th Class and Raja Raja Chora in Tollywood. Her most recent work was the crime web series “Inspector Rishi,” which was released on Amazon Prime Video in March.
Neither Sunaina nor Khalid have officially confirmed their engagement, but reports suggest they are likely to get married later this year.
