Kalki 2898 AD: These Two Are Nag Ashwin’s Fav Scenes

Director Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi epic fantasy “Kalki 2898 AD” has been a big hit, with people praising the amazing visuals, thought-provoking themes, and powerful performances. In a recent interview, Ashwin revealed two scenes from the film that are his personal favorites.

One of the most memorable moments in Kalki 2898 AD is when Deepika Padukone’s character, Sumathi, has to go through a dangerous tunnel of fire, as she exits from the clutches of Complex. Ashwin said that he really liked this scene, as it was challenging to shoot both technically and in terms of the performance.

“Deepika was amazing in the tunnel walk scene. It was tough to film, but she did it so gracefully and with a lot of emotion, which made it one of my favourite parts of the movie though we wrapped this in a short time. I told Deepika that it would be iconic,” Ashwin explained.

Another scene that stood out to Ashwin was the climax battle between the immortal warrior Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan) and the powerful rebel Bhairava (Prabhas). The director praised the acting skills of both top actors and how the scene builds up the tension and excitement.

“The climax is where everything comes together – the story, the characters, the themes. And to have a legend like Amitabh and Prabhas facing off, it’s just electric. I’m really proud of how that scene turned out, including the edit and the music,” Ashwin said.

The director also liked the interval part for its fun elements, but then, he felt that the above two sequences were iconic. Those who have watched the film will understand that for sure.
