Krishna Gives More Elevations To Karna, Ashwathhma In Mahabharat

There was a lot of debate about director Nag Ashwin giving more elevation to the characters of Karna and Ashwathhama played in Kalki 2898 AD by Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. Everyone has their own opinions and perspectives.

Nag Ashwin clears the air on the matter saying, “I’m happy that there’s some debate on the issue and people are discussing the topic of Dharma and Adharma. There is always love for Karna’s character in India. In fact, Karna is my favorite character in Mahabharat. We wanted to give justice to the character of Karna. I’ve read Mahabharat. Lord Krishna gives more elevations to Aswathhama and Karna than what we have given in the movie.”

Nag Ashwin says he wanted the movie to be more accessible to kids. “I’m happy to see photos and videos of kids with Bujji.”

The director also made it clear that while part 1 was 40% of the whole story, there would be 60% story in part 2. “It took more time to transport the audience into the world. Now, everyone has an idea about every character. So, the part 2 will be more engaging.”

Nag Ashwin affirmed that he will try to cast Nani and Naveen Polishetty in part 2.
