Actor Siddharth passed a satire on Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. During a press event for the release of “Bharateeyudu 2,” Siddharth spoke about Revanth’s comments regarding the ticket prices hike. He criticized the Chief Minister, stating that no previous Chief Minister had ever imposed conditions on them in such a manner.
Revanth Reddy had commented that the government would increase ticket rates only if the film’s crucial cast does awareness videos against drug usage. Siddharth pointed out that no other Chief Minister had made such demands and emphasized that actors should be responsible on their own.
“Before the state’s bifurcation, I promoted safe sex by advertising condoms on behalf of the government. For almost five years, my photo was on billboards holding a condom. We have always been ready to support social awareness campaigns by the government. Actors don’t need to be told what to do by the government; we have always taken on that responsibility ourselves. But no Chief Minister has ever said they would only do something if we did something in return,” said Siddharth.
Bharateeyudu 2, directed by Shankar, and starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role is releasing on the coming Friday.
