In a recent development, hero Siddharth has expressed his support for Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s efforts to combat the drug menace in the state. This comes after Siddharth’s previous comments on actors’ inherent social responsibility, where he stated that they do not need to be mandated by the CM to create awareness videos.
Correcting his words and indicating that his intentions are misread, Siddharth reiterated his stance through a special video, saying, “I completely support Chief Minister Revanth Reddy garu and his government’s initiatives in the fight against drugs. If my words have hurt anyone, I’m really sorry about that.” The actor’s change of heart comes after his earlier comments, where he had asserted that actors are already socially responsible and do not need to be mandated by the CM to create awareness videos.
Siddharth’s statement reflects a shift in his position, as he now openly endorses the Telangana government’s “zero-tolerance” policy towards drugs. This policy, known as “Operation Kavach”, has led to a series of successful raids and seizures of various narcotics, including heroin, ganja, and MDMA in recent times.
