When director Shankar announced his reunion with Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan for the sequel of Indian, everyone eagerly awaited the output. Since the first part is a mega-blockbuster, the people wanted the second part to exceed expectations. However, the promotional campaign does not attract the audiences in the desired manner.
The audiences slowly lost interest in the film for several reasons including the delays that the film underwent. With the film gearing up for a grand release on the coming Friday, the advance bookings have already started in some areas.
The film’s major performance area is Tamilnadu, but the state’s advance bookings are not up to the mark. The film registered less numbers on the first day of the advance bookings. The ticket sales began in close to 1150 shows, where only 24 percent occupancy was registered.
The theatrical trailer of the film failed to impress the viewers big time and Shankar’s magical mark also went missing. The film might heavily rely on the performance of Kamal Haasan. But then, there is also a discussion about the third part.
Indian 2 aka Bharateeyudu 2 is truly a prestigious film in the recent times and its success will fill hope and confidence to many in the industry. The advance bookings for the film are expected to begin soon in the Telugu states.
