Since her breakout role in the blockbuster KGF franchise, former beauty pageant contestant, actress Srinidhi Shetty has been selective about her film choices, waiting for the right opportunities to showcase her talent.
After the massive success of KGF, Srinidhi made her Tamil debut in the Vikram-starrer Cobra, for which she reportedly charged a whopping salary that was double her remuneration for the KGF films. However, Srinidhi has been cautious about her Telugu debut, turning down an offer to star in Saindhav, directed by Sailesh Kolanu. Rumors now suggest that she may be seen in the director’s upcoming HIT3, part of the successful HIT franchise.
Additionally, Srinidhi has reportedly signed on for Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Telusu Kadha, which marks the debut of stylist Neeraja Kona as a director. Srinidhi’s strategy of being selective with her roles post-KGF reflects her desire to take on meaningful and challenging characters that can further enhance her acting prowess.
However, that also puts her at risk of losing all the fame she amassed with KGF, because these days, if there is anything short-lived, that’s fame and success only. Maybe she should make some hay when the sun shines.
