Suriya’s Admiration for Telugu Superstars

Suriya and Siva collaborated on the prestigious period drama Kanguva. The film is hitting the screens on the 14th of November. The makers have already begun the film’s promotions in the Telugu states. The team held a pre-release event last night in Vizag.

Speaking at the event, Suriya opened up about his views on the star actors of the Telugu film industry.

When asked about Pawan Kalyan, Suriya said, “He is the same in real and reel. He is candid and open hearted.”

Talking about Prabhas, Suriya said, “Cut out chusi, konni konni nammeyali,” which is a dialogue from Prabhas’ Mirchi.

And then, Suriya shared that he went to school along with Mahesh who was his junior. “Mahesh is in a different league now,” said Suriya.

Suriya also said that he is a big fan of Allu Arjun’s dances and is waiting for the second part of Pushpa.

Suriya admitted that Ram Charan is already a global actor with just 15 films and shared his admiration.

When asked about NTR, Suriya said that Tarak speaks Telugu with pure diction than him. “Everybody is amazed with his energy,” he said.

Talking about Megastar Chiranjeevi, Suriya said, “When I got national award, I was getting messages and wishes on X, but he made all effort to reach me and appreciated me over a call. He inspired me to start NGO in Chennai.”

Kanguva is a two-part film which has a modern day’s connection to it apart from the period drama. KE Gnanvel Raja is the producer of the film who spent a bomb on the film. The team is promoting the film extensively in North as well. Disha Patani, Bobby Deol and others are a part of the film.
