‘Mahesh Mamayya Is Not Doing Cameo’

Young hero Ashok Galla is currently working on the project titled Devaki Nandana Vasudeva. HanuMan fame Prashanth Varma provided the story for the film. There are speculations from the last two days that, Ashok’s uncle Superstar Mahesh Babu is playing a cameo as Lord Srikrishna. The news brought huge craze and attention to the project. But, there is no truth in the news.

“My apologies for not responding immediately to the rumors about our superstar @urstrulyMahesh mamayya doing cameo role as lord Krishna in my film Devaki Nandana Vasudeva. This news is absolutely false! I’m also very disappointed that such misleading news has spread and again sorry for responding so late, I am currently filming for the next movie in New York City and completely missed seeing this spread on social media,” wrote Ashok on social media.

Ashok Galla went on to say that it would be a great moment for him if Mahesh plays a cameo but it is not happening. “To be clear it would a very big personal and also career defining moment if there truly was such a cameo in any of my films and I would be the first one to share such news. Finally I please request everyone to refrain from spreading such rumors and while this may disappoint a few, I am confident that the movie will not!” he wrote.

Manasa Varanasi and Devdatta Gajanan Nage are playing the other key roles in the film. Directed by Arjun Jandyala, the film is bankrolled by Somineni Balakrishna under the Lalithambika Productions banner. Bheems Ceciroleo is the music director of the film. Prasad Murella and Rasool Ellore worked for the film as cinematographers while Sai Madhav Burra penned the dialogues.
