Having made her debut with the film Jhummandi Nadham in Telugu, Taapsee Pannu became a star heroine in Bollywood. The actress later worked with biggies like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. In a recent interview with a leading English news daily, Taapsee dropped some truth bombs about the film industry.
Taapsee revealed that most of the big heroes would prefer casting someone in their films who will not overshadow them. She confirmed that these big heroes will have a firm say on who the heroine will be in their projects.
Taapsee even mentioned that she was not paid much in films like Judwaa or Dunki.
“Funnily, people think I do films like Judwaa or Dunki for money, that I get paid a lot. But no, it is the opposite – I get paid to do more for films I headlined, like Haseen Dillruba, and other films don’t pay me much because they feel they are doing a favor by taking me up in that kind of a film. They feel, ‘There is already a big hero; why do we need anybody else for that?’ I fight these notions daily.”
On the work front, Taapsee was last seen in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba and Khel Khel Mein.
