Pushpa Present, Sukumar Absent!

Published by

Sukumar, also known as Mr. Perfectionist, was formerly a teacher by profession, and this is reflected in his meticulous nature when making films. He often works until the last minute to get the output just right, but this dedication has sometimes led to missed deadlines. His team, too, works relentlessly until the very end. This has been the case with his previous release, Pushpa: The Rise, and it seems the same scenario will unfold with Pushpa 2: The Rule.

Despite the lessons learned from the hectic release of Pushpa: The Rise, history appears to be repeating itself with the sequel. With the film’s release just around the corner and reportedly over 20 days of shooting still remaining, combined with ongoing post-production work, meeting the deadline seems challenging.

The producers have already committed to the media that the first copy will be ready by November 20th. However, this may not be feasible, as the shoot is expected to conclude only by the end of the month. Although post-production tasks like editing, dubbing, and mixing are done in parallel, they still require several days after filming wraps up.

Given this tight schedule, Sukumar may not be available for promotional activities this time either. While the team had initially planned large-scale promotional events for Pushpa 2, these plans might now be primarily led by Allu Arjun. After, Pushpa Allu Arjun himself is a brand and he can single-handedley lead the promotions nationwide.

Sukumar is likely to attend a press meeting just a day before the release, similar to his approach for Pushpa: The Rise.
